Battlefield Evolution and inspired by games such as Battlefield 2, is a miniature wargame from Mongoose Publishing, the same company that created the Starship Troopers: The Miniatures Game. The rules for both games are similar. Battlefield Evolution has prepainted plastic figures opposed to the metal unpainted figures usually produced by Mongoose. The Israel Defense Force, United States Army, and African warlords were mentioned as possible new factions.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 continues the story of Preston Marlowe, George Gordon Haggard Jr., Terrence Sweetwater and Samuel D. Redford. Bad Company 2 is geared towards being a suspenseful and serious campaign while continuing the humor from the first game (Battlefield: Bad Company).

Battlefield 1943: Pacific is an upcoming World War II first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Like Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield 1943 is a downloadable multiplayer-only title.

Battlefield Heroes is a cartoon-style action game. The game features context-specific third- and first-person shooter perspectives. Heroes will be the first Battlefield game to be released under Electronic Arts' new "Play 4 Free" model, which will see the game released for free with revenue generated from advertising and micropayments. Advertisements will appear on the website and the 'front-end' of the game although none will appear in-game, while micropayments may be made for additional items to customize the appearance of players' avatars without any gaming advantage. The game is said to be placing less emphasis on skill and strategy, and will be less demanding on computer specifications than the previous games of the series to increase the audience base. In addition, a system will be in place to match players of similar skill levels together for fair play.

Battlefield 2 (abbreviated to BF2) is a computer game by the Swedish developer Digital Illusions in which players fight in a modern battlefield, using modern weapon systems. Battlefield 2 is a first-person shooter with some strategy and RPG elements. Battlefield 2 was developed by Digital Illusions CE (DICE) with a custom game engine. BF2 is published by Electronic Arts as the third full game of the Battlefield series, released in late June 2005. The first two installments were Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam.
